This summer I hosted two digital organization retreats for piano teachers. It was only the second year for this event and I look forward to hosting more in the future! (Check out the recap from the 2022 retreats here.)
At this retreat, teachers get almost three days of uninterrupted time to focus on cleaning up their digital workspace with me by their side coaching them one step at a time.

“The Piano Pantry Retreat was fabulous! I came away with so much more than I expected. I thought I was a relatively organized person on my computer…but I learned so many new things and can already see a difference on all of my devices. Removing the digital “clutter” and “noise” is freeing.” ~Jennifer Kurtz
It truly is the only event of it’s kind out there for studio music teachers. I am a piano teacher but you don’t have to just be a piano teacher to attend this event as the content is applicable to really any working professional!
It is a nice bonus though that besides the computer work, we get to casually “talk shop” and learn from others who are going through these same daily grind.

Both events were in June this year – less than two weeks apart. The first one went from a Wednesday – Saturday and the second from Sunday – Wednesday.
I like having attendees arrive in the evening for light nibbles and conversation so we can hit the ground running by 9am on the first full day.
Teachers came from Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland this year!

“My brother likes to say, “We don’t know what we don’t know,” and that is certainly the case in the digital world. It is hard to figure out the digital world without a detailed road map and that is what Amy gave me.”
~ Laurel Carroll

“Amy’s workshop is a must for anyone who uses a computer and phone! She is so organized, clear and kind in her hands-on presentations. I would certainly return!” ~LouAnn Pope

“I’ve done it twice now, and I have no regrets. It just keeps getting better and better. I always learn so much and I leave with a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of renewed hope for myself in the world of technology. It’s a highlight of my summer!” ~Laurie Bender

“This retreat was just what I needed to get my studio in order – from digital files, to emails, to apps and widgets!
I feel more confident knowing what I have and how to use it. 100% recommend to anyone thinking of going!”
~Florence Phillips
We’re lucky to have a small state park in our town. One unique feature is that we have a small heard of Bison that live in a designated area of the park. There is a nice 1-1.5 mile hike around the fenced in perimeter. It made the perfect outing to stretch our legs a bit before dinner!

Besides guiding attendees through a plan for cleaning up their digital workspace, I also enjoy providing healthy, delicious homemade meals (well, healthy except all the cookies I bake! LOL). Breakfast and lunch are included in the retreat fee.

“Amy’s retreat is a brilliantly-thought out and unique experience every teacher could benefit from! She was so patient with helping us understand and set up organizational systems. She is a wonderful host, with a beautiful house and delicious food that you’d expect from a top-tier bed and breakfast. Top to bottom, it was worth every dollar!” ~Gabrielle Tee
