It’s hard to believe we’re now in the 3rd year of the Piano Pantry Digital Organization Retreat! This event brings together my three loves: piano teaching, organization, and cooking!
Plus, the small, intimate setting is such a different experience than attending a large scale state or national conference!
In 2022 and 2023, I was able to run two events each summer but this year, I had an opportunity to host more attendees at one time, so I was able to accept 6 rather than just 3 or 4!
Complimentary accommodation is normally provided in my home – but I can only do 3-4 attendees. One of my piano studio families has a new property they recently remodeled – a beautiful farmhouse about 10-15 minute drive from my house and they graciously allowed 3 attendees to stay there.
Another factor is that I can usually only handle the “coaching” time for 4 people so I can give everyone due attention. This year I have been fortunate to have a former piano student doing a bit of part time work for me. She was home for the summer and has a Mac computer so she was able to come and help support the extra attendees. They loved her!
This group really dug in! Every time I turned around, they were back at it, digging away at their digital cleanup.
We took a couple of good walks before dinner each night.
But they were back at it as soon as we walked back in the door!
Even during our evening dessert and “chill” time on the back porch! They were a hard-working crew!
