cheers with the glass of mint tea

Dutch Fresh Mint Hot Tea

The easiest and most surprisingly delightful hot tea you can make.
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 2 cup of tea
Course: Drinks
Cuisine: Dutch

Ingredients

  • 0.5 oz Fresh mint sprigs, rinsed
  • 2 tsp Honey (optional)

Method

  1. Boil water.
  2. Rinse the mint sprigs. Fill each cup with a good handful of mint (stem and all) - about 1/4 oz - or more to your liking.
  3. Pour 6-8 oz. hot water over mint leaves and steep for 5 minutes.
  4. If you like, add a touch of honey.
  5. If you like - repeat! I find you can get at least a 2nd mug out of it albeit a bit milder.
